All living things are made of cells, which contain the fundamental molecules of life and store their hereditary information in the form of DNA.
Humans are made up of trillions of cells and there are over 200 different cell types in the human body. Although most human cells share most organelles and basic functions, different cell types look significantly different and carry out very different roles within the body. Based on where they are found and their function, human cells can be divided into stem cells, bone cells, blood cells, muscle cells, fat cells, skin cells, nerve cells, epithelial cells, sex cells, and cancer cells.
