How are exosomes isolated?

FAQs Research

Differential ultracentrifugation is the gold standard for the isolation and purification of exosomes from biological fluids and cell culture media, enabling an accurate and reproducible yield of exosomes, while minimizing co-purification of protein aggregates and other membranous particles. Other methods include sucrose gradient centrifugation, microfiltration, antibody-coated magnetic beads and microfluidic devices.
