- Kaluza C digitally signs the installation package with the BeckmanCoulter.pfx certificate to ensure authenticity.
- Kaluza C generates hash codes for all software components to detect unauthorized changes.
- Introduce backup and restore functionality for the database storing user management information, audit logs, and user settings, including a new UI to perform these operations.
- Implement a new configurable automatic logoff mechanism after a defined period of inactivity set by the administrator.
- Display license information for all third-party software components.
- Remove the Network License Control Center (NLCC) license code.
- System component upgrades improving data handling, and hardware and software compatibility:
- Upgrade .NET Framework to version 4.8.0.
- Upgrade Sentinel driver to version 9.16.
- Upgrade Newtonsoft.Json to version 13.0.3.
- Implement a Unique Device Identifier (UDI) accessible in the About page.
- Kaluza C records a user action when an audit trail is archived, improving traceability.
- When printing or exporting as a PDF, Kaluza C automatically uses the FCS file name in the Data Set column as the default file name if the printer supports setting the storage location and default name.
- The copyright year in Kaluza C login screen is now the same as Kaluza C Windows properties view.

Bug Fixes |
- Statistics values are updated in the gate label when changing the input gate of a plot.
- Compensation undo works when the “Apply fluorescence parameter resolution to compensation” button is disabled.
- The minimum and maximum values displayed in the QC plots now match the values defined in the protocol file when opened in the QC report activity, even if they differ from the $CYT defaults.
- Axis labels and legends of bar charts and overlay plots display correctly when printing directly from Kaluza C.
- The Kaluza C installer now detects and prompts for the removal of the 32-bit version before proceeding, preventing conflicts during 64-bit software installation.
- The interface adapts properly to different screen resolutions and displays complete forms on certain devices.
- If opening or saving files on a network folder fails, a prompt offers options to retry or save the file locally.
- Absolute Counts are now supported for further calculations and actions in the information table.
- Kaluza C handles incorrect formulas in combination calculations without crashing.

Kaluza C Analysis Software Version 1.2.1
Bug Fixes |
- Enable printing dot plots after a Microsoft Windows 10 update (KB5022083). Dot plots could not
be printed due to enhanced security measures affecting XPS files. The alternative solution
provided by Microsoft involves using a registry key to disable these security measures for
trusted XPS files, such as those generated by Kaluza for printing purposes, ensuring no new
security risks.
- LIS and Kaluza options (Options and Default tabs) persist after software restarts. The
configuration settings related to user accounts are properly loaded upon use login after
re-opening Kaluza C.
- Resolve an intermittent issue where Authenticode signature verification failed when running
Kaluza C installer, ensuring successful installation.

Kaluza C Analysis Software Version 1.2
Improvements |
- Kaluza C supports some nVidia GPU boards to accelerate analysis. This requires a 64-bit version
of Windows and for this version of Kaluza the nVIDIA graphics driver 471.11 or greater.
Validated GPU boards for Kaluza version 2.2 are Quadro P2200, Quadro RTX4000, Quadro M2000,
Quadro RTXA2000. To activate the Kaluza CUDA compute engine use the /CUDA command line prompt.
- The LIS protocol can be saved individually and imported to new analyses to speed up LIS setup
for new analysis protocols.
- A LIS Identifier for the Kaluza instance can be set in the LIS Options and exported to the LIS.
- Backup images of plots that are sent to the LIS can be saved with user defined resolution under
a user defined backup path.
- The Save as images functionality supports saving multiple selected plots into a single image.
- Index sort parameters can be read from CytoFLEX SRT Sort Classifier parameter.
- To further improve user privacy and the security of user data, credentials for the initial admin
account are defined by the user during software. Kaluza C no longer supports the use of
“Demo”; “Admin” or “Administrator” as part of usernames and
has strengthened requirements for password complexity. A digital certificate is installed during
software installation. Log-in identifiers are stored in an encrypted format.
- File integrity is checked automatically when loading data files.
- When calculating absolute cell counts in batch mode, users can choose between loading file
specific Cal Factor and $Vol values and cascading absolute count settings from the previous
analysis.
|
Bug Fixes |
- Performance for the processing of the logicle transformation has been improved for the standard
compute engine.
- When using the CUDA compute engine with nVidia GPUs, Kaluza Analysis 2.2 no longer experiences
slowness when using the Rare Event and % Displayed functionalities.
- Alarm boundaries in a QC report can be modified without triggering a software crash.
- Compensation values can be displayed in a QC report without triggering a software crash.
- Gain settings from DxFLEX FCS files are included in the Cytosettings table.
- Files from Omnicyt instruments are loaded.
- File-internal compensation from Novocyte instruments is calculated accurately.
|
Kaluza C Analysis Software Version 1.1.3
Improvements |
- When a gate or a plot containing a gate that has been setup for transmission to the LIS is
deleted, the LIS preview window is updated and the plots and statistical results derived from
the deleted gate are automatically removed.
|
Bug Fixes |
- Autofluorescence values loaded from list mode data files generated by Navios and Navios Ex the
match the values set in the Advanced Compensation Module.
- Transmission of erroneous results is prevented when a gate in a hierarchy previously setup for
LIS transmission is deleted.
- The automatic Display Minimum in the Data menu reflects the actual minimum for the selected
settings without rounding.
- File not found and No Read Permission errors are prevented by protecting temporary files from
deletion by other programs.
- Changes made to text box controls of Levey-Jennings plots in the QC module can be confirmed by
clicking outside the menu. Errors are prevented by protecting temporary files from deletion by
other programs.
- Updated Sentinel driver to support installation on systems with current Windows OS updates.
