If you’re a patient, the best place to start your search for clinical trials is in your doctor’s office. They’ll be able to tell you if you are qualified to participate in a clinical trial and give you recommendations for whether or not a clinical trial represents your best chance at restored health. Some physicians won’t have up-to-date knowledge about current clinical trials, potentially because their offices (and, therefore, patient base) are located too far from a trial site. For a comprehensive view of the clinical trials that are currently recruiting patients, visit
www.clinicaltrials.gov. There, you can find the details of current and completed trials. In December 2017, there were over 2,500 clinical trials listed on ClinicalTrials.gov with the keyword immunotherapy. Given the scientific community’s collective enthusiasm for immunotherapy, that number is likely to rise substantially into the coming years.
