Abstract
Since the inception of modern biological research, BioSafety has evolved into a critical consideration in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). With the recent and rapid expansion of biopharma and the use of biologics in research and disease treatment, the importance becomes paramount.
However, BioSafety should not be viewed from a One-Size-Fits-All perspective; degrees of risk potential vary across laboratory environments. And although oversight organizations define and manage guidance frameworks, the challenge to individual labs and organizations is assessing how to implement, monitor and maintain those standards for their unique environment.
