Automating the Valita Titer Assay
The Valita Titer assay easily integrates into automated workflows to provide a fully automated IgG quantification platform. It’s compatible with most platforms, including our Biomek i-Series Automated Workstations.
The addition of automation into your experimental workflows can help increase throughput and improve the reproducibility and reliability of data. It can also free up a significant amount of time and gives you the freedom to walk away from experiments and take care of other tasks on your to-do list.
Automation in Action
In this application note, we present the Valita Titer assay combined with a Biomek i5 automated liquid handler and Molecular Devices SpectraMax® iD5 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader.
This specific integration enabled the quantification of up to 456 samples (5 x 96-well plates) in a little over an hour with the presentation of a direct output of IgG titer results.
Two other experiments were performed as part of this work to:
- Demonstrate the ability of this workflow to accurately quantitate IgG in the presence of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells
- Demonstrate the utilization of dilution factors to expand the assay range simply by inputting desired acquisition settings to the Biomek CLD protocol
