Shipping and Logistics with beckman.com Orders
When you place an order at beckman.com, you can be assured that ordered products are inspected for quality assurance before they are shipped. Selecting the right shipping method for your needs and budget can also be challenging.
Shipping Method
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences typically ships with UPS Standard Ground Shipping. Priority level shipping for overnight delivery and 2-day can be accommodated but 1) must be selected when ordering and 2) is only available for certain products as indicated.
Shipment options are dependent on the weight of the package, the materials handled, and the distance it has to travel from our manufacturing location. Special requests for specific shippers cannot be accommodated. You can have shipping billed to your carrier account but you must provide that waybill account information when setting up your shipping address in the customer profile.
Your orders will be consolidated into the fewest number of shipments possible. This may take longer to ship, depending on product availability, but there will only be one per-shipment charge. Please be aware that items placed on back order can potentially delay shipments.
Shipping to APO, FPO & DPO Addresses
There are some special requirements when shipping to APO, FPO and DPO addresses. Some hardware items cannot be shipped to APO, FPO or DPO addresses. If you are attempting to order an item for shipment to an APO, FPO or DPO address, an error message will appear at checkout that the item isn't eligible to be shipped to that address. Check the item's product detail page for eligibility.
If an APO, FPO or DPO address is entered as an international address, the package will not reach its destination.
Note: Standard Shipping Deliveries may take longer--up to 21 days for APO, FPO, or DPO addresses.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fee prices in the shopping cart, order quote or order confirmation are estimates only or listed as “To Be Determined” (TBD). Shipping and handling fees are not established until the order is being fulfilled for shipment. Once the order is shipped, fees for shipping and handling are applied to the customer invoice or charged to your payment method on file in your My Account. Beckman Coulter charges a shipping and handling fee (which includes internal handling and related costs) on each order, which is applied at the time of the order and reflected on your invoice.
Shipping and handling charges will be reflected in a shipping confirmation email sent to you. Individual receipts for shipping and handling charges will not be furnished. Cash on delivery (COD) shipments are not permitted.
Shipping Terms
Other terms and conditions may apply for other-than-standard ground delivery ("Other Freight Services"), including without limitation, expedited delivery, less than truckload (LTL) shipments, air freight, freight collect, export orders, hazardous materials, customer's carrier, shipments outside the contiguous U.S. or other special handling by the carrier. Any charges incurred for other freight services must be paid by the customer. Fuel surcharges may be applied. Title and risk of loss pass to the customer upon tender of shipment to the carrier. If the product is damaged in transit, the customer's only recourse is to file a claim with the carrier.
Specialty Shipping Items
Some products require special packaging to make sure they arrive in good condition. These items are marked on their product detail pages and may ship separately from other items in your order. Items that need to be shipped this way will be packaged in Styrofoam containers with dry ice and arrive 1-2 days after leaving our manufacturing center.
Since special handling is required for these items, there is a shipping charge of $### per item, and they aren't eligible for free shipping offers. These products cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box.
